Cost Effectiveness and Return on Investment

EAP cost-effectiveness data indicate that every dollar invested in an EAP saves the employer from $5 to $15. (McDonnell Douglas 1989) A 1990 study conducted by Virginia Power demonstrated a 23% lower claims rate for individuals who accessed the EAP compared to those who accessed behavioral health benefits on their own.
